Todd Quartararo
Principal

Todd Quartararo has more than 15 years of public relations experience and founded Quartararo & Associates (Q&A) in 1997. Before starting Q&A, he worked on national accounts at Bozell Worldwide, Foote Cone & Belding, and Alcone Marketing Group. He has worked with clients including Taco Bell, Sprint PCS and Action Sports Retailer. Quartararo brings his account experience along with an entertainment, fitness and lifestyle focus to Q&A.

Since the start of Q&A, Quartararo has attracted some of the nation’s most recognized brands that have tapped the agency for launch campaigns including Bloomingdale’s, Cirque du Soleil, Hermes and The Sports Club/LA.

In addition to his work at Q&A, he is also the co-founder of the Newport Beach Film Festival. Quartararo’s focus with Festival is on media relations, strategic partnerships and sponsorship development. He has secured relationships on behalf of the Festival with such celebrated brands as Absolut Vodka, Jaguar, Jet Blue, Land Rover and Perrier. The Festival, now in its 10th year, attracts more than 42,000 people annually and is recognized by Daily Variety as on of the top 25 film festivals in the nation.

Quartararo received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge and is the recipient of several national and international awards for his work for the Newport Beach Film Festival. He also was named 8th-best break-dancer at Lakeside Middle School.

     
     
     
 

Saba Shirazi
Account Executive
Saba has more than five years of experience in marketing, event planning and advertising in the publishing industry. In her most recent position as Marketing Coordinator with Riviera magazine, she was responsible for branding the new luxury lifestyle publication in the San Diego community. She launched the first ever �Men of Style� and �Sexy San Diego� parties in San Diego and has collaborated with numerous restaurants including Confidential, Nine-Ten and Jack's along with fashion retailers like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and JEP boutique to create signature magazine events. Before her move to San Diego, Saba worked as the Marketing Assistant at Sacramento magazine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Art's in Apparel Marketing in Design from CSU, Sacramento. Saba is a modern day hoola hooper with ambitions of becoming the next national champion.

     
     
     
 

Jordan Kaye
Account Coordinator

Jordan's previous experience was an account coordinator at The Rose Group in Los Angeles, where he worked with SKYY Vodka to launch their new ultra premium vodka SKYY 90 and a summer celebrity bash with Maxim & SKYY Flavors at the Cabana Club in Hollywood. He also worked on the grand opening of Dave Navarro and Tommy Lee's new Hollywood club ROKBAR. His other experience includes the Newport Beach Film Festival, Bock Communications a high-tech public relations firm and film/tv product placement with Starbucks Coffee Company. Jordan is a recent graduate from Chapman University, where he was also president of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Jordan spends his weekends working as a traffic school instructor and adding to his collection of sci-fi memorabilia.

     
     
     
 

Carline Kaplan
Account Strategy | Media Training

Carline Kaplan, Q & A’s senior consultant, is located in Los Angeles and has 20 years of diverse public relations experience including specialties in strategic counseling, crisis communications, project management, media training and event planning. Carline has been an active team member on numerous Q & A accounts including Cowboy Star, Fit, Bloomingdales, The Sports Club/LA and many others.

Carline is well connected within the Los Angeles entertainment industry and brings excellent LA and national media relations and event expertise to the Q & A team. Carline’s recent event related projects include handling national electronic media relations for The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, one of the world’s largest consumer events. She oversaw content and production of four days of live coverage with Good Morning America, The Today Show and CNN as well as handled more than a dozen local TV crews. In addition, she handled media relations for BIO, one of the world’s largest trade shows and oversaw press requests from more than 300 onsite press outlets. She also provides strategy, media relations and event planning for the International Motorcycle Show tour, numerous auto shows and a 50 event concert series based in Los Angeles.

Prior to partnering with Q & A, Carline ran an LA based public relations firm for 12 years. Some of her recent clients include American Express, American Express Financial Advisors, The Sports Club/LA, Epilar, HBO, Cox Interactive Media, Hint Mints, The Sallie Mae Fund and many others. She has written and published over 250 articles for American Express Financial Advisors and trained over 100 of the advisors to become national media spokespeople.
